Our Summer Vacation - Part 3 - Omaha Zoo

On our drive home from Idaho we took a little detour. If T gets his follow-on plane (after his IP assignment is up) then we would be headed to Omaha, NE. He really wanted to show me the area...I think to try to convince me that it is where we want to go. While we were there we went to the Omaha Zoo. It is a big and very cool zoo. Thanks for the tip Aunt Connie. The kids loved it but were definitely ready to go after walking for about 4 hours. It would be awesome to live in Omaha and have access to this zoo so we can go whenever we want and not be forced to stay for hours at a time. They had the Zoo divided into lots of different regions. The kids loved the petting zoo and aquarium. I think my favorite was in the Asia/Africa one. It felt a little like we were actually wandering through a tropical jungle. We were glad to leave when we did. It had been a long time walking and we were all tired.

This monkey was about 8 feet from us.
I could have just walked up to it.
