January to March
9:38 PM Edit This 0 Comments »January through the middle of February were a pretty normal time here in the South. It was cold, but of course no fun snow to play in like the rest of our family back in Idaho and Utah. The girls were in school, T was at work and I was just at home with Junior. In January we took the kids bowling for the first time. They of course loved to do it in person and not just on the Wii. Honestly until the end of February it was pretty uneventful. Then in the middle of February we found out that T was going to be deployed. He had 10 days from the time we found out until he actually left. It was a whirlwind trying to get him all ready to be off. First he went to Texas to do a little training, and then it was off to the "sandbox." Luckily, he was blessed to be put in a staff position where he gets to "fly his desk" (as he puts it. It does make it easier on me to know that his day to day job is minimal risk. (As minimal as war/peacekeeping efforts can be). Mostly life has been pretty normal minus T of course. The girls have continued in school and Junior and I just kick it at home. We did have one small incident in the middle of March. I was at a sewing class at the church and Junior was playing with the other kids. Suddenly I hear a loud thud and screaming. Junior had turn just in time to run into the metal part of the dividers at church. He ended up jamming one of his big front teeth up into his gums. He was such a trooper and after getting him to calm down he was only sad if you would ask how he was doing. After spending two hours in the ER, the nurse just call the dentist because they can't do anything. It turns out that we just needed to go in to the dentist to have xrays done to make sure there would be no serious damage. The tooth is not up far enough to cause damage to his permanent toothbud. It should slowly make it's way back down to its former position or at least close to it. Also because T was gone, I spent my 7th anniversary with just my kiddos. T had sent my a gift early and he suggested that we should go out for dinner instead of making it. I was a little nervous since we rarely go out to eat with 2 parents let alone just one parent, but the kids did great. It was fun in spite of not having my hubby here to celebrate with. But there will always be more anniversaries and more of eternity to be together, so what is one missed day.
I think he got 1 pin.
Jr had 77, Katie had 97 and Lizzy had 67. Not bad for a first time. Yeah for bumpers.
Tooth shoved up in his gums.
Waiting at the ER. Already making faces and playing.
All of us at the restaurant for T's and my anniversary.
We missed you honey.
